Who is Ivory Keyes
Ivory Keyes is a North American recording artist and author from Norfolk, Virginia. At the age of four Ivory was adopted by his maternal grandparents. As a child, Ivory's extended family mentality and physically abused him. Afraid to tell anyone due to shame and fear of being ostracized even more, Ivory turned to the streets and in doing so, at the age of twelve he began to live a life of crime. Ivory went from being a straight "A" student to drinking alcohol and using drugs which resulted in a rebellious attitude and anger towards authority, causing Ivory to spiral out of control, landing him in juvenile detention homes, city jails and prisons across the state of Virginia.
At the age of seventeen Ivory wrote his first song in a jail cell while awaiting trial for a murder he did not commit. when he got released he linked up with a childhood friend by the name of Dominick J Lamb aka Nottz Raw, and became a member of the HipHop group DMP then he later started a production company by the name of Team Works Music LLC. It was finally beginning to look like Ivory Keyes aka “Spoon” was on his way to becoming real success story, and then his shady past caught up with him landing him in penitentiary only to serve a lengthy ten year sentence for possession of a handgun while in possession of over five pounds of marijuana. Now after spending a decade in prison Ivory Keyes has a message and a story to tell.
